Sul sito http://70gigapixel.cloudapp.net/ si può osservare una foto di Budapest a 70 gigapixel di risoluzione, un vero record, fino ad ora la massima raggiunta era di 45 gigapixel e rappresentava la città di Dubai.
Qualche curiosità: sull’hardware utilizzato per la post-produzione:
Post-processing was done on a Dell Precision T7500 Workstation with twin 4-core Xeon processors, 24GB memory and 6TB hard disk, courtesy of Microsoft Hungary. For the initial compilation we used Autopano Giga, the most complete software solution for processing high-resolution images. The task took two days to complete and resulted in a single 200 GB Autopano KRO file.
Le foto sono state scattate con due corpi Sony Dslr-A900, una lente Minolta 400 ed un convertitore 1.4x.
